My first introduction to the HCF was when I became a Resident Assistant at the Hispanic Youth Symposium at Towson in 2008. Immediately, I was moved by what I saw- from the HCF staff working diligently to make sure the HYS was running as smooth as possible and the dozens of volunteers (alumni, professionals) committed to helping these students- and by what I did- mentoring and inspiring Latino high school students to attend college and seeing how much change can happen in a matter of days.
